Terms of use & booking terms

Last updated: November 2026

These terms apply to your use of this website and to any safari or travel arrangement you book through BengalTiger.in. Please read them before confirming a booking.

1. About us and our role

BengalTiger.in is a wildlife travel brand operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME]. We design and market tailor-made wildlife itineraries in India and arrange their delivery in collaboration with independent tour operators, destination specialists, lodges and transport providers. The operating entity responsible for fulfilling, invoicing and taking payment for your trip is disclosed to you in writing before you confirm your booking, along with that operator's own terms and cancellation policy.

2. Website content

We take care to keep information on this site accurate, including park seasons, gate timings and zone details. These are set by state forest departments and can change without notice. Information on this website is for guidance and does not form part of any contract. Confirmed details are those set out in your written itinerary.

3. Enquiries and quotes

Submitting an enquiry does not create a booking and does not reserve permits, vehicles or accommodation. Prices quoted are valid only for the dates and conditions stated in the quote, and are subject to availability at the time of confirmation.

4. Confirming a booking

A booking is confirmed only when you have received a written itinerary and confirmation, and the required payment has been made in accordance with the payment terms given to you. Before that point, nothing is held.

5. Safari permits

Safari permits are issued by state forest departments under their own rules. Permit availability, zone allocation, entry timings, vehicle allocation and fees are decided by the department, not by us or by our operating partners. Zones are commonly allocated by the department's system and cannot be guaranteed. Permits are issued in the names of specific travellers and generally cannot be transferred or changed once issued. Every traveller must carry the original photo identity document used at the time of booking.

6. Wildlife sightings

These are wild animals in large natural habitats. No operator, guide or authority can guarantee sightings of tigers or any other species. Sightings are not a condition of the services you are paying for, and no refund is due if a particular animal is not seen.

7. Changes and closures

Forest departments may close parks, zones or gates, change timings, or cancel drives at short notice for reasons including weather, court orders, conservation requirements, animal movement or administrative decisions. Where this happens we and our operating partner will offer a reasonable alternative where possible. Any refund of permit fees follows the forest department's own rules.

8. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for providing accurate traveller names and identity details, carrying the required original documents, arriving at the gate on time, holding valid visas and permits where applicable, arranging your own travel insurance, and disclosing medical conditions that may affect your travel. You must follow forest department rules, gate timings and the instructions of your guide and driver at all times.

9. Conduct in the forest

Baiting or calling animals, off-road driving, leaving the vehicle in restricted areas, littering, playing music, using flash where prohibited, and crowding or pressuring a sighting are prohibited. Serious breaches may result in your drive being terminated by the authorities without refund.

10. Liability

Services on the ground are provided by the operating partner and by independent suppliers including lodges, transport operators, guides and forest authorities, and are subject to their own terms. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited as set out in the booking terms provided with your confirmation. We are not liable for loss or disruption caused by events outside reasonable control, including weather, natural events, strikes, road conditions, government or forest department decisions, or the acts of third-party suppliers.

11. Intellectual property

Text and design on this website belong to us. Photographs are used under licence or with permission and remain the property of their photographers.

12. Governing law

[These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at [CITY] have jurisdiction. Confirm the correct jurisdiction with your advisor.]
